L'oreal Infallible 24H Stay Fresh Foundation Review

Hi guys, today we have a product which has quite a fan following. Its L'oreal Infallible 24H Stay Fresh Foundation. This foundation has been a saviour for those who cannot afford high end brand foundation but still get a good product in their bag.

Product description

Product Name: L'oreal Infallible 24H Stay Fresh Foundation
SPF: 18
Shade: 200 Sable Dore (Golden sand)
MRP: Rs 1325
Net content: 30ml
Coverage: Medium to high
Skin tone: Suits all kind of skin tone
Name of manufacturer: Loreal S.A. 14, rue Royale, 75008 Paris, France
Made in France

My experience with the product:

This foundation was my first expensive buy in this makeup category. I bought it when it was primarily launched in the market. It had achieved quite a good review during that time. So i thought to invest in this product and i must say it has not let me down.

When you buy a foundation, you must keep few point in mind- applicator, moisturising, finish, texture and coverage.

Review of the product

Loreal Infallible 24H Stay Fresh Foundation packaging is quite simple and precise. It says what exactly it do that is- fights makeup meltdown. The foundation come in a glass bottle with a pump applicator and that's makes it easy to use as well as travel friendly. With pump applicator you do not squeeze extra product and save on the wastage. Thump up for that one!!.

The texture is quite creamy and smooth. It gives you moisture and hydrate your skin. It blends easily and provide a smooth surface for the compact to settle down. I prefer blending with flat foundation brush from nose to ears as it doesn't disturb the motion and blends nicely. It has SPF 18 which make it a day foundation as well as we can use it during sunny days (hurray!!).

The coverage of the foundation is medium to full coverage. If you want medium to dewy look try to take a pump of 1-2 drops. if you want a full party look with full coverage try 3-4 drops(pea size) and separate out throughout the face, it will give you a matte finish. If you have a combination to oily skin then it is the best match for you. I do not recommend this product for dry skin type, as it give a matt finish and may dry up or tighten your skin after few hours.I opt for shade 200 golden sand which was one shade lighter to my skin tone and suits perfectly after blending.

Loreal offer in total 10 shade of this foundation and they all are perfect for medium to wheatish skin tone. Now if we talk about how long this stay, i will give it a thumb up as it stay quite long with full coverage. I  would say more than 10 hrs which is substantially good enough. This foundation is very affordable as  it price Rs.1325 which is itself answerable enough to spend that much on a foundation which gives you good coverage and matte finish.

Swatches:

Pros:
  • full coverage
  • contains spf
  • pump applicator, travel friendly
  • doesn't dry you out, supports moisture
  • quite affordable price point

Cons:
  • it doesn't give you natural skin effect
  • sometimes you apply to more than 2 layers you may feel cakey
  • doesn't recommend for dry skin type

Rating for Loreal Infallible 24H Stay Fresh Foundation: 7/10
Repurchase: if you are normal to combination or oily skin then surely repurchase.

M.A.C Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation Review

Today I am going to review M.A.C Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation under the shade "4.0".
Let’s start with the basic description

Product Name: M.A.C Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation
Shade: 4.0
Skintone: Best suited for warm and Indian skin
Coverage: Sheer
Quantity: 35 ML/ 1.2 US. FL.OZ
MRP: Rs. 3600 (incl. of all taxes)
Name and address of manufacturer: The ESTEE LAUDER COMPANIES INC., 787, 5th Avenue, NY, 10153

My experience with the product:

As i have heard a lot about the coverage and finish of MAC Matchmaster Foundation for Indian skin tone, i was eager to buy one for myself. I went to MAC store and ask the salesperson to find best suiting foundation for my skin tone. I have a normal to combination skin.

Firstly, he prep my skin with MAC Prep + Prime Skin Base Visage primer which is a lightweight gel . It’s quite moisturising and made my skin smoother. Then he applied a light application of MAC Matchmaster Foundation with shade 5 which was quite dark for me. The texture of the foundation is fluid and smooth. I just love how it melts in my skin. But then shade 5 was dark for me and i want one shade lighter then my skin tone, so he applied shade 4 which was Voila! the best suited shade for my skin. It was perfect for what i wanted.

Review on the product:

The packaging of the foundation is as usual sophisticated black like all the MAC Products. The best part is the pump application provided with the glass bottle which is perfect for travelling and doesn’t squeeze out the extra product.  The texture of the foundation is liquid and you can apply with flat foundation brush or sponge or with your fingers itself. But according to me, it best blends out with a damp sponge.  The foundation is moisturising and doesn’t dry you out. The foundation blends seamlessly with your skin and gives you a  non-shine finish like a natural skin effect. The coverage is medium to build up as you apply more layers on your skin. It also have SPF 15 in it so its good for day time as well. MAC has total 12 shades in Matchmaster foundation which is best suited for warm and Indian skin tone.

As for the affordability factor I brought it in Rs. 3600 which is quite on a high end side but the brand qualifies as the products gives you that luxury feel. It stays quite long, I can say around 8-10 hrs, which is quite a good time we demand from a foundation.

Pros
Cons
  • ·        Sheer coverage
  • ·   Pump bottle application, travel friendly
  • ·        Nicely blended
  • ·        Stays long
  • ·        Moisturising, doesn’t dry out
  • ·        doesn't cake up your skin

  • ·        High in price
  • ·        Doesn’t give full coverage
  • ·        May not suit to oily skin as it has moisturising factor.
